A synopsis of the festival at Honolulu Hale on June 17th and 18th, 2013. I spoke on a panel called “Lives Online,” sponsored by the Center for Biographical Studies at UH Mānoa and the Hawaiʻi Council for the Humanities, with Catherine Toth (whose blog is The Cat Dish) and Melissa Chang (Melissa 808 on Twitter). We discussed the power and perils of blogging vs. traditional publishing. We come in about 15 minutes into the video. A panel featured earlier in the video included Craig Santos Perez and Nalani Kneubuhl on native writing (that one’s around 7 minutes in). Good music too!
